New Artist: Wil Velez / GRRR
Wil Velez is a local Chicago artist. His murals can be seen throughout Chicago in many gay-owned spaces, such as Crust Brewery, Big Gay Sal's Pizza, The Men’s Room, and all 2Bears Tavern Group locations.
Wil describes his work as illustrative, figurative, and vibrant. Most of his current work is strongly influenced by gay culture and imagery. He likes incorporating gay pop culture references to make contemporary paintings that normalize and represent the LGBTQIA+ community.
