Daniel's selected pieces in this show are abstractions of his experiences as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. He has designed them to challenge our conceptions of gender, sexuality, and mental health. Rather than specifically delve into his artistic intentions behind each piece, he prefers to leave interpretation up to the viewer. Each piece is meant to make you double-take and rethink your beliefs, as he depicts the queer in the quotidian.
Meet Daniel in person (and buy some of his art) at The SoFo Tap on Thursday, Sep 14, from 7–9pm.
